GRADED CARDS

I only sell cards that are graded by AGS, PSA or CGC. All graded cards have grade information on their product page, which links to the official certification page on the grading company website.

AGS, PSA and CGC all adhere to the 1-10 grading scale and have the same naming convention for grade definitions. The table below shows which grades are considered “HIGH”, “MID” and “LOW” grades:

HIGH GRADES MID GRADES LOW GRADES
GEM MINT 10
MINT+ 9.5
MINT 9
NM-MT 8
NEAR MINT 7
EX-MT 6
EXCELLENT 5
VG-EX 4
VERY GOOD 3
GOOD 2
POOR 1

UNGRADED CARDS/PRODUCTS

The condition of ungraded cards is based on (but not limited to) the official TCG Card Conditioning Standards. Download the one-page handout that I have assembled from the latest condition guide reference on the CardTrader website.

Over 90% of ungraded cards are collector-owned, never played and in near mint condition or better. The following conditions meet the acceptable standard of sale for single cards:

  • Mint (MT) – no signs of wear;  super clean surface, directly from pack to a penny sleeve.
  • Near Mint (NM) – minor imperfections, card looks nearly unplayed with no major defects or wear; may have slight edge wear or a scratch or three, but overall looks unplayed with no major defects.
  • Lightly Played (LP)
a few minor and noticeable imperfections but no major defects or damage; major defects such as grime, bends or issues with the structural integrity of the card are not present.
  • Moderately Played (MP) – border/corner wear, scratching, scuffing, creases, visible whitening on surface.
  • Heavily Played (MP) – variety of moderate and major imperfections along with creasing, whitening and bends.
  • Damanged/Poor (DMG) – major border wear, corner wear, scratching or scuffing, as well as folds, creases, tears or other damage that impacts the structural integrity of the card.

All products are inspected to make sure its contents (ie. packs themselves) have not been damaged and that the issues with the sealed product are purely cosmetic. Some sealed products may present imperfections such as (but not limited to):

  • Small hole(s) in the shrink wrap that are not along the seams
  • Partially torn wrap, but with shrink wrap still in tact
  • Dents/creasing on the box; slight signs of shelf wear

There is no guarantee that the sealed product you receive will be free of all cosmetic imperfections. Please be sure to read the product description for details and/or photos showing the condition of the item.

I purchase/obtain all sealed products from licensed retailers (Pokémon Center, Target, GameStop) and/or from reputable sellers/collectors that I have personally ordered from or traded with.

Pricing Platforms

I use the following industry-leading collector apps and platforms: TCG Player, Price Charting, Rare Candy, and Collectr. I update prices for cards and products before every show based on item condition.

Rare Candy

Raw card values by condition and graded card values determined by real-time 3rd party data and live marketplace tracking.

TCG Player

Market prices for EN/JP cards & products based on condition and multiple price points. My primary source for pricing raw cards.

Price Charting

Combines all public sales data to determine the current market price. I use price charting specifically for graded card values.

Collectr App

I've used Collectr to track all my raw/graded cards and products since 2022 and use it to value my entire Pokémon collection portfolio.
